I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, with beautiful accommodations in a picturesque town. The service was exceptional, especially from the dining staff, making my experience feel quite luxurious. However, I was a bit disappointed with the dining options as one of my meals was overly salty, and the complimentary coffee service could have been more convenient. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I would highly recommend it for a getaway.

Rooms

My room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable, featuring a king-size bed and a whirlpool tub. However, the toilet seat was old and in need of replacement.

While the dining experience had its high points, such as prompt service, I found one of my meals too salty, which was disappointing. Still, the overall atmosphere in the dining area was lovely.

7.2/10

I recently stayed at the Prince of Wales for a quick getaway, and while the location was fantastic and the staff were quite pleasant, I did have some concerns about the accommodations. The vintage charm of the hotel is appealing, but my initial room had a terrible musty odor which was quite off-putting. The dining experience was nice, but not without its quirks. Overall, it has great potential but fell short in a few areas during my stay.

Rooms
6.0
The first room we were given had a musty smell that was hard to ignore, but the second room was much improved. It was clean and nicely furnished, but I was disappointed that the TV had a fuzzy picture and the blow dryer would overheat quickly.
Service
7.0
The staff were all very delightful and accommodating, making every effort to assist us, although there were moments of frustration with room issues that needed attention.
Location
10.0
The Prince of Wales is perfectly situated in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, making it easy to explore restaurants and shops just a short walk away.
Dining
7.0
We dined at the on-site restaurant, and the food was generally good, although we were surprised to find reused coffee kettles that detracted from the experience.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel features a charming vintage atmosphere but lacks some modern amenities that could enhance the guest experience.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel during our anniversary celebration. The check-in process was warm and welcoming, thanks to Amanda, who truly made us feel special. While the location offered stunning views, I felt the interior could use some updating. The amenities were nice, but the outdoor space didn't seem to be well cared for. Overall, it was a memorable experience, but it could use some improvements.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were clean and comfortable, although they got quite hot quickly.
Service
9.0
The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, making our stay that much more enjoyable.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location provided beautiful views, but there was a bit of a hike to access the water.
Dining
6.0
We enjoyed the high tea, but I wish there were more options available beyond that.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities include a nice restaurant, but more outdoor seating and better lawn care would enhance the experience.

Our stay at the Prince of Wales was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance of the hotel captured that historic charm that we adore, making it feel like a step back in time. The room itself was gorgeous, especially with the fireplace, but we did encounter a slight hiccup with check-in, which delayed our day a bit. The dining options were delightful, with fantastic meals at both the pub and main restaurant. Overall, worth every penny for a memorable getaway.
